Applicants for the C12 are required to have 1 year of verifiable experience and pass the Arizona Business Management Exam in addition to the C12/L67 exam. Applicants for the L67 are required to have 2 years of verifiable experience.
C12/L67 LOW VOLTAGE COMMUNICATIONS EXAM INFORMATION
You may take into the testing center the following book: NEC 1999, tabed and highlighted; 60 questions; 3 hour time limit; 70% required to pass. Testing fees: $63 for 1 exam, $120 for 2 exams. To schedule an exam, contact Thomson Prometric at 800-899-4089
The C12/L67 Exam allows applicants to apply for the following licenses:
C-12 LOW VOLTAGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS(RESIDENTIAL)
Installation and repair of low voltage alarm, intercom, telephone, call, clock and television systems, including towers and antennas.
L-67 LOW VOLTAGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (COMMERCIAL)
Installation, service, repair, and maintenance of systems and devices of low voltage including: public address; intercommunication systems; telephone switchboards; call systems; master and program clocks (low voltage wiring and needed equipment only); electrical teaching devices; low voltage signaling; master television antennas; closed circuit television and alarm systems.
Installation, service, repair, and maintenance of both high and low level electronic control devices that are associated with systems of low voltage.
Erection of towers on buildings for television antennas.
K-67 LOW VOLTAGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (DUAL)
This classification allows the scope of work permitted by the commercial L-67 Low Voltage Communications Systems and the residential C-12 Low Voltage Communications Systems licenses.
