C31/L31 MASONRY EXAM INFORMATION
Closed book; 80 questions; 3 hour time limit. Testing fees: $63 for one exam, $120 for 2 exams. To schedule a test, contact Thomson Prometric at 1-800-899-4089.
The C31/L31 Masonry exam allows applicant to apply for the following licenses:
C31 MASONRY (RESIDENTIAL)
This license enables installation of, with or without mortar, stone, structural glass, brick, block, baked clay, or other products common to the industry. this scope includes all C31 subclassifications.
L31 MASONRY (COMMERCIAL)
This license enables installation of brick, concrete block, adobe units, stone, marble, slate, or other units and products common to the masonry industry, including mortarless type masonry products. Installation of grout and caulking. Tuck pointing, sand balsting, mortar washing, parging, cleaning, and welding of reinforcing steel related to masonry construction.
K31 MASONRY (DUAL)
This classification allows the scope of work permitted by the commercial L31 Masonry and the residential C31 Masonry licenses.
