Arkansas Journeyman Plumber

Requirements:
|
- Pre-Approval is required to sit for the exam.
- The Business and Law exam is not required for the Journeyman Plumber license.
- The first step in the Licensing process is to submit a completed application to the State Plumbing Board. Upon approval you will receive a letter stating that you may take the exam.
- Applicants must have at least 4 years of experience or apprenticeship to qualify for the Arkansas Journeyman license.
- There are no minimum financial requirements for this license at this time.
- The Journeyman Plumber is not obligated to purchase a bond.

Scope of Work:
|
A Journeyman Plumber is anyone other than a Master Plumber that is engaged in the practical installation and repair of plumbing.

Reciprocity:
|
The state of Arkansas does not have reciprocity agreements for this license, at this time. Reciprocity will be considered on an individual basis.

Continuing Education:
|
There is no Continuing Education required for the Arkansas Journeyman Plumber license at this time.

Exam:
|
- The Arkansas Plumbing Board gives the exam once per month.
- It is an open-book, time test with 50 questions and a 4-hour time limit.
- The exam is divided into four sections: Drawings, Multiple-Choice Questions, Code Illustrations, and matching items with descriptions.
