Indiana licenses its Master Mechanical at the city/county level. Please check with the city/county you seek licensure for more specific requirements.
The Master Mechanical exam tests a candidate’s knowledge of the installation, repair, maintenance, alteration, and extension of air conditioning, refrigeration, warm air heating, low & high pressure boilers, ventilation systems, duct systems, unfired pressure vessels, fuel transmission lines, and related appurtenances.
Of the listed books, only selected Mechanical & Code books are allowed into the exam center. The other references have been used to create the exam questions and answers. It is recommended that you be familiar with the information contained in these books.
To determine which edition of the Mechanical Code and other allowable references you will need, you must contact the city/county you plan to test in.

120 question, OPEN-BOOK, 4.5-hour time limit
70% to 75% correct required to pass, based on city/county requirements
