NEW JERSEY PLUMBING

Applicants are required to have prior approval from the State Board before testing.
Business and Law is required by all Plumbers

Exams are given in Springfield, NJ in February, May, August & November.

Deadline for the May 6, 2008 exam is April 21, 2008
Deadline for the August 5, 2008 exam is July 21, 2008
Deadline for the November 4, 2008 exam is October 17, 2008

Fees are as follows:
Trade Exam $90
Business and Law $50
Practical Exam $110


The exam has been developed from the list of references, however it is a closed-book exam.

Closed Book
100 questions 4 hour time limit

The practical portion of the test consists of a basic floor plan with specifications and other pertinent information, you will also be required to draw either a
”riser” or an “isometric” diagram (your preference) on paper provided at the testing center.
You need to bring a ruler, red and blue colored pencils
Your drawing must be legible in order to be recorded
The practical portion in closed book and has a 2-hour time limit
