  • Wyoming Electrical Contractor

  • An electrical contractor is one who contracts with another to plan, lay out and supervise the installation of electrical equipment.

  • Wyoming Journeyman Electrician

  • This license allows the holder to install and supervise the installation of electrical equipment for any purpose in accordance with the National Electrical Code and city, county and state ordinances and regulations and works under the supervision of a Master Electrician.

  • Wyoming Master Electrician

  • A Master Electrician is one who can plan, layout and supervise the installation of all types of electrical equipment.



  • Wyoming Limited Low Voltage (LM-E - Elevators)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of electrical work for elevator systems limited to electrical work on the load side of the equipment disconnect.

  • Wyoming Limited Low Voltage (LM-H - HVAC)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of electrical work for heating, ventilating and air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC energy management systems limited to electrical work on the load side of the equipment disconnect

  • Wyoming Limited Low Voltage (LM-L - Light Fixtures)

  • This license allows limited electrical work for maintaining light fixtures. This includes routine checking and repair of light fixtures, limited to replacement of lamps, ballasts and fixture parts located in buildings and their premises.

  • Wyoming Limited Low Voltage (LM-S - EL Signs)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of electrical signs limited to electrical work on the load side of the equipment disconnect.

  • Wyoming Limited Low Voltage (LM-W Water Well & Irrigation)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of electrical work for water well and irrigation systems limited to electrical work on the load side of the equipment disconnect.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (LV-C Low Voltage Communications)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of telephone systems, intercom systems, related fiber optics, computer systems, and other communication systems.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (LV-G Low Voltage General)

  • This license allows electrical installations of fewer than ninety (90) volts for systems such as sound systems, burglar alarm systems, fire alarm systems, communication systems, television and satellite systems, cathodic protection systems, and other low voltage systems.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (LV-S Low Voltage Sound)

  •  This license allows the installation, repair, or remodel of sound systems.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (LV-T Low Voltage Television)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of cable TV systems, satellite receivers, and community antenna systems.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (LV-X Low Voltage Control)

  • This license allows the installation, repair or remodel of low voltage control and instrumentation systems and related fiber optics.

  • Wyoming Low Voltage (TLV-A Low Voltage Alarms)

  • This license allows installation and repair or remodeling of burglar systems, fire alarm systems, and other alarm signaling systems.



  • Wyoming CE for Journeyman and Master Electricians

  • The master electrician’s license, journeyman electrician’s license, and technician electrician’s license are all valid for 3 years, renewing on July 1st of every 3rd year.

    In order to renew your journeyman or master electrician license, you shall provide proof of the attendance of not less than sixteen (16) hours of training in the National Electrical Code or in advances in the electrical industry meeting the criteria established by the board on or before the date his/her license expires.
