All exam questions are consistant with the 2018 IPC and the 2018 IRC. These are provided at the testing center. It is your responsibility to know and be able to use basic plumbing theory formulas since such knowledge may be required to work problems in the job task are if the exam entitled Job Task X: Calsulations
Formulas will not be provided to you at the test center and are not allowed in during the test.

Pre-Approval from the Board is required to sit for the exam. Examination and experience requirements exist for Master, Residential & Journeyman Plumber applicants.
Applicants for Residential Plumber must verify 2 years (3,400 hours) of practical experience.
Letters of Verification: The applicant must verify the plumbing installation experience by submitting an Affidavit of Experience Form from current and former exployers (Plumbing Contractors)
Examinations are administered in English only through a private testing agency. Once approved by the Board, a letter of acceptance and information on testing will be provided.
Plumbing work is regulated at the state level, and in some cases ,the local level.
Experience requirements exist for each classification.

Colorado does not currently require Plumbing Continuing Education. This is subject to change. Contact the Board for specific license inquiry.

The Journeyman exam has 100 scored questions with 240 minutes to complete. 70% is required to pass (Up to 10 non-scored items (30 minutes)
