Arizona Application Processing
Confirm This Is the Right License for Your Work
Every state licensing board defines the exact project types, sizes, and trades that fall under each contractor classification. Review the scope below to make sure this license matches the work you actually do — then enroll in the seminar that prepares you for that exam the first time.
This classification allows the licensee to perform surface preparation, caulking, drywall patching, drywall taping, sanding, and cleaning as required for the licensee to install, apply or repair wallpaper, wall covering cloth, wall covering vinyl, decorative texture, and paint.
License Requirements
Applicants are required to have two(2) years of verifiable experience and must pass the Arizona Business Management Exam in addition to the CR34 exam.
The Business Management exam is also required.
Bonds are required for all licenses. American Contractors has the lowest prices for Bonds!
Reciprocity
Rather than reciprocal agreements with other states, Arizona waives the trade exam for any applicant who has been the qualifying party within the last 5 years for a license in good standing in a classification the Registrar deems equivalelnt in another state, and passed a comaprable trade exam to obtain that license.
Continuing Education
Arizona does not currently have Continuing Education requirements
The Exam
PSI is the testing agency.
The Arizona Painting and Wall Covering CR34 exam is 50 questions, a 2-hr time limit and requires a 70% to pass.
The only book that can go in othe exam is the OSHA. The other references are recommended for study.

American Contractors carries many of the exam materials needed to pass the Arizona Painting and Wall Covering exam as well as the Business Management exam as well. We do not currently offer a seminar.
