New Application Processing Fee for Mississippi License
Confirm This Is the Right License for Your Work
Every state licensing board defines the exact project types, sizes, and trades that fall under each contractor classification. Review the scope below to make sure this license matches the work you actually do — then enroll in the seminar that prepares you for that exam the first time.
The Mississippi Landscaping license covers unlimited landscaping, and planting and groundcover excluding irrigation.
To apply, contact the state of Mississippi at 601-354-6161.
The application fee is $400.00 for all classifications (except Residential classifications).
Mississippi will review and approve applications as soon as they are received for testing. Once approved you have 6 months of eligibility and unlimited attempts during that time. After 6 months you must reapply.
Once exams are passed and the application is deemed complete the Board estimates that licenses should be approved and issued in about 7 working days.
