Utah HVAC

State regulations require that candidates for a HVAC license need to take a Utah HVAC Written Exam. The written theory exam covers minimum competency in general HVAC knowledge.


This includes: The International HVAC Code (IPC), the general principles of HVAC, and HVAC-related calculations.


 


Exam topics include General Knowledge, Systems and Sizing, Maintenance, Plan Reading and Refrigeration Systems, Piping, ELectrical, Math & Calculations, Rules ad Laws and Pilot items.
The HVAC exam has 110 questions, open-book, 2 hour time limit and requires 70% to pass.
