Confirm This Is the Right License for Your Work
Every state licensing board defines the exact project types, sizes, and trades that fall under each contractor classification. Review the scope below to make sure this license matches the work you actually do — then enroll in the seminar that prepares you for that exam the first time.
This license allows the fabrication and installation of systems for the heating, evaporative cooling and circulation of air, excluding cooling systems that require refrigeration as an integral part of the system
License Requirements
Pre Approval is required to sit for the exam. Applicants must submit an application to the licensing board to gain approval.
Business Management Survey exam is required.
A surety Bond is required. The minimum bond amount is $1000 and the maximum is $500,000.
Applicants must have at least 4 years experience within the last 10 years in the designation applying for.
The license belongs to the business, not the qualifying party
Reciprocity
The state of Nevada has a reciprocity agreement with California, Arizona, and Utah. There is no reciprocity for the plumbing and electrical trades. Applicants must have at least 7 years of experience and meet all licensing requirements.
Continuing Education
Nevada currently does not require Continuing Education for this license.
The Exam
